Maryn Shanahan, MFT, RP.

Registered Psychotherapist

Intuition, compassion, and commitment, along with developed evidence-based therapy and assessment skills are the building blocks to Maryn Shanahan’s practice with children, adolescents, adults, and parents. Maryn is a Registered Psychotherapist with over 10 years of experience providing therapy and assessment services. In that role, she is skilled in helping clients who are experiencing a myriad of challenges concerning behavioural, developmental, and emotional disorders, and varying concurrent mental health diagnoses.

Maryn’s involvement in private practice and continuing education has nurtured an unwavering commitment to working with her clients and a sincere interest in the promotion of mental health initiatives. Her assessment skills provide her clients with a deeper understanding of how they learn and process information and experiences, as well as an understanding of the nature, depth, and impact of symptoms and diagnoses on academic, social, and interpersonal functioning. Understanding a person’s whole psychological profile helps to identify strengths and resources that would otherwise not be explored from which a range of treatment and educational recommendations can be made. Maryn hopes to help transform each client’s story into one that better suits their growth, learning, experiential processes, and relationship abilities.
